Playa del Carmen is a place that truly captured our hearts from the very first visit. There’s something special about waking up in a vibrant city that sits right on the edge of the Caribbean Sea, where you can walk from lively streets straight onto soft white sand and turquoise water in just minutes.
 

What we love most is the energy of the town. The streets are full of life, with so many great restaurants, cozy cafés, local shops, and little places you keep discovering every time you return. No matter how often we come, there’s always something new to explore.

At the same time, nature is never far away. Some of the most beautiful cenotes we’ve ever seen are just a short drive from the city, and the surrounding area is full of incredible spots to discover. From jungle landscapes to stunning beaches and ancient ruins.
 

We also love how easy it is to explore the nearby islands. In no time, you can take a ferry to Cozumel for crystal-clear waters and amazing snorkeling, visit Isla Mujeres for its relaxed island vibe, or head to what we think is one of the most beautiful places of all "Holbox", with its untouched nature and peaceful atmosphere.
 

For us, Playa del Carmen is also the perfect base. Located between Cancun and Tulum, it makes it so easy to take day trips and experience the best of the region, whether you’re into culture, nature, or simply enjoying the scenery.
